Train2Roots Hindi Classes:
Language and communication are the means through which people learn about different culture. As Immigrants (Indians living) in UK we care about staying connected to our roots and keeping the homeland culture alive within ourselves. Knowing Hindi not only raises awareness about our cultural norms but also enable us to enjoy and explore some light aspects of the Indian life – Bollywood music, travel, literature, spirituality to name a few. TRAIN2ROOTS Hindi classes are designed to enable you to learn and understand Hindi in an interactive and fun manner so that adults as well as children have a chance to stay connected with their Indian roots.
Designed and executed by the team of Shree Krishna Mandir SKRC Volunteers, TRAIN2ROOTS is an
initiative where:
- Hindi is taught from scratch
- Students are enabled to read, write, and speak Hindi
- The curriculum is divided into 3 courses –14 weekly classes per course
- Classes are conveyed currently over zoom

Tabla Classes
Learn to play Indian percussion TABLA from a tabla graduate from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. Tabla styles taught are Hindustani classical, semi-classical, Bollywood & Western styles. Tutor is also a registered tabla teacher at PRSSV Institute of Performing Arts and Heritage, one of the leading performing arts organisations in the UK.

Bharatnatyam Classes
Roshni Nishanth, has been trained in various style of classical dances under the Kalakshetra style right from the age of 8. She has blossomed into a dancer by learning Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Folk Dance. She has performed in various stages at temples, Cultural events, Concerts in India and UK (British awards night UK, Sadgamaya foundation event in Birmingham, UK & various cultural events at our Krishna Mandir etc. She is also part of judging exam board of panel in the one of the arts examination board in UK.
She is certified teacher under the oriental Fine arts academy London and Elite performing Arts examination Board. Her students can complete different grading courses under her guidance and through affiliated board.
Her dedication and passion toward dance made her to start her service by teaching the young talents in Leamington Spa at Shree Krishna Community Centre. She has been conducting the dance classes since 5 years for both kids and adults. Her students are being participated in various cultural programs in and around UK.

Kuchipudi Classes
Learn a rich repertoire of Kuchipud in dynamic and refined Vempati Chinna Satyam style from Mrs Hema YellaPragada. She is in the panel of Kuchipudi teachers of Oriental Fine Arts Academy of London. Her students from Leamington have sat for grading exams over the years and successfully completed grading exams in flying colours, achieving OFQUAL certification (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation, UK).
Smt. Hema YellaPragada. She started learning dance at the age of 3 and gave a solo dance performance in front of hundreds of audience by the age of 5. She has won all India dance and music award by the age of 12 apart from several district and state awards. Apart from performing hundreds of solo dance performances on big stages like Ravindra Bharati etc she has also performed different roles in Ballets like Gita Govindam and Shivananda Lahari composed by her Gurus. She was most notable for Tarangam, Shivastuthi and Shivastakam. She was invited by Doordarshan to perform at their studio and was telecasted on national TV in India.
She has been teaching dance in Leamington for more than a decade.

Grading exams are by Oriental Fine Arts Academy of London and OFQUAL certification.

1. Kathak classes for girls on Saturday 11-1 pm Age 4-10 years
2. Indian Folk dance classes (Rajasthani, Gujarati, MP etc) for girls and boys ages 4-10 years
Shrishti Joshi, an ardent lover of dance, holds a proficient degree in the magnificent Indian classical dance style known as Kathak. With over 15 years of expertise in both performing and teaching various forms of India’s folk dances, she has become a true maestro in her field.
Her unwavering dedication has led her to forge a strong bond with our Mandir, where she actively engages in organizing cultural activities for the community. Shrishti is consistently at the forefront, ensuring that our cultural heritage is celebrated and cherished through captivating performances and engaging events.
