Code of Conduct

Shree Krishna Mandir, Leamington Spa is a sacred house of God and a place of daily worship where worshippers can enjoy spiritual ambience. All visitors are requested to practice the following guidelines which are applicable in all areas of our Mandir complex.

Dress Code:
Please dress appropriately ensuring that dress tops cover the shoulders, chest and upper arms. Leg-wear must be at least below knee-length.

Shoes:
Please remove footwear upon entering any part of the Mandir. Shoe racks and hand washing facilities are provided.

Aarti ceremony:
During Aarti Ceremony all visitors are requested to remain stationary and only proceed with parikarma after the Aarti ceremony is over. Please return all Aarti booklets after use.

Conduct:
Please refrain from touching the delicate deities at all times.

Bags & Cameras:
Small (palm-sized) purses and wallets are allowed into the building.

Filming & Photography:
No photography or filming is allowed inside.
Mandirs own multimedia team use officially captured digital imagery for information sharing and promotion. Anyone not wishing to be captured by our cameras is requested to approach the committee upon entry to such events.

Mobile Phones:
Please switch off or place mobile phones on silent mode prior to entering the premises. Please respect the privacy of all visitors and do not use mobile phones to take photos or video footage inside the mandir.

Mandir Kitchen:
This area is a controlled entry area where health and safety practices will be monitored by volunteers who have attained Safe Food Handling Certification

Smoking:
Smoking is not allowed on the premises, including in the car parks.

Food & Drink:
Apart from when mandir functions offer food as Maha Prasaad, no food or drink brought from outside is allowed on the premises. Please discard chewing gum prior to entering.

Security:
Please note that security procedures are in place and CCTV recordings are conducted for the safety of all visitors. Sharp, dangerous and incendiary objects and substances (e.g. knives, matches, lighters, etc.) are not allowed inside the complex.

Children:
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times who should ensure that their behaviour does not prevent private meditation and prayers by other visitors wishing to use the serene ambiance of our mandir.

Parking:
Limited free parking available for cars but other council parking lots are available within easy reach.

Disabled Access:
Wheelchair access inside the Mandir is available.

Pets:
No pets are allowed within the complex. Assistance dogs accompanying disabled visitors must be looked after by visitors carer/family in a quiet place.

Copyright:
The Management may carry out photography, video recording and/or other monitoring that may feature visitors. The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in these materials rests with the Management or such authorised third party.

Please Note:
Our Opening hours are printed and displayed prominently. Occasionally timings and access for programmes are subject to change, sometimes unavoidably without notice. While all reasonable measures will be taken Management apologises if any visitor is inadvertently inconvenienced.

The Management also reserves the right to refuse admission to those who do not follow the guidelines and to those who may be inappropriately dressed or are under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
