SHREE KRISHNA RESOURCE CENTRE

The Shree Krishna Resource Centre is a not-for- profit registered Charity organisation (Registration No. 1184960) that manages the affairs of the temple at 10B High Street, Leamington. It started as a Hindu Religious Association (HRA) in June 1979 to promote advancement, principles, culture & education of Hindu faith in Leamington and Warwick. The Association also offered services (soup kitchen and charity activities) to relieve poverty in the community.

I am delighted to support the redevelopment of the Shree Krishna Mandir in Leamington. It is a key focal point for the Hindu community – and others – in the local area. I’ve always received a warm welcome whenever I’ve visited. The redevelopment plans are incredibly exciting and would allow the community to build upon the brilliant work they already do. I am determined to help the leadership of the mandir secure the great future they have envisioned with this redevelopment.

Commitment and dedication yields results. When I think of the wonderful Shree Krishna Mandir of Leamington Spa, I feel very inspired. I remember the days when the Hindus and Sikhs of Leamington Spa jointly held satsangs in a rented hall in the beginning. Through years of commitment and dedication by devotees like Dharamveer ji and others, Shree Krishna Mandir is a success story and continues to serve large community of people of Bharatia origin young and old.
The Mandir frequently invites guest speakers and celebrate many festivals to maintain our Sanatan Dharam culture alive. There is a plan to deliver greater services and amazing facilities in the near future. May Shree Krishna keep showering his blessings on their sincere efforts.

Hare Krishna.

I have visited the Shree Krishna Mandir in Leamington Spa on many occasions and found all the Hindu community members very welcoming and hospitable. We are very fortunate to have a wonderful community amongst us which promotes diversity, cultural events & activities and reach out with involving & engaging with members from all communities & other local faith groups. I have also been fascinated by the beautiful and colourful religious events which are held throughout the year involving members from all age groups. I throughly enjoy the words of wisdom delivered by local Shastriji. I know that the local members have been outstanding with local volunteering and supporting the wider community.

My family has a long association with SKRC (formerly HRA). I have no hesitation in recommending this Temple and it’s facilities to the congregation in Leamington and Warwick. The Temple is served by a hardworking Committee and Priest. Long may this continue.

The Hindu community in Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa has been an important part of local life for at least four generations. Initially, it lacked a dedicated place of worship but through hard work and generous financial help from the local council and the community, a building came about. The Shree Krishna Mandir very quickly became a valued local resource providing community as well as religious support.
In that regard, the Mandir provided unfailing support for the Diwali Lights switch on programme held at the Royal Spa Centre for very many years. That programme was organised annually over many years by the BABPA. On behalf of myself as the founding chairman of BABPA, and my successors, I would like to thank the congregation of Shree Krishna Mandir for their support and
encouragement.
When a local solicitor, I was honoured to be asked to assist, in a modest fashion, the travel arrangements for a Panditji from India. The redevelopment of the existing site to provide improved facilities and to better serve the community, points to a bright future and ongoing contribution to the life of our diverse and harmonious community.

It was a privilege and an honour to contribute my services to Shree Krishna Mandir from the beginning in the late eighties. I feel fortunate to have been given this task by the committee to design the internal part of the Mandir. It’s a pleasure to be part of history of the Mandir.

We are very fortunate here in Leamington Spa to have only one Mandir and one Gurudwara Sahib both working side by side maintaining close community spirit and celebrating religious and cultural festivals together. Reason Leamington is a happy place to live. Committee is now developing the Mandir to suit the needs of the next generation.

I wish them success and offer my services for the future development.

I have long enjoyed visiting the Shree Krishna Mandir on Clemens Street. It is an excellent place to find peace and a chance to meditate in the presence of the Deities. I have also brought friends and colleagues to visit and we have always been greeted with a warm welcome and a cup of tea and often samosas cooked in the Mandir kitchen by volunteers properly dressed in aprons and hair nets…

I really glad to hear about the proposals for a rebuild of the Mandir and having seen the plans I would like to add my strong support for the plans.
